Dr. Mark Hendrixson is a Crossville native with family roots going back several generations. He and his wife, Jan, live in the northern part of the county on property that has been in his family over 100 years. Dr. Hendrixson received his Medical Degree at the University of Tennessee-Memphis and completed his Oncology Fellowship at ETSU in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Mark also sees/treats patients with a wide variety of hematological (blood) disorders.
Dr. Mark has special training in symptomatic care and end of life issues. He also has an interest in integrative oncology. This is the use of natural and complimentary therapies for the relief of symptoms of cancer or its treatment. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians and the TN Oncology Practice Society.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Mark serves as the Vice Chief of Staff at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. He also served as Medical Director for Quality Hospice Care, based in Jamestown, TN for over two years. Dr. Hendrixson is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
Dr. Mark and his wife, Jan, are involved in companion animal rescue, they are principals in a 501©3 public charity – FOCCAS, Focus on Cumberland County Animal Shelter. foccas-tn.org
