One reason cancer cells thrive is because they are able to hide from your immune system. Certain immunotherapies can mark cancer cells so it is easier for the immune system to find and destroy them. Other immunotherapies boost your immune system to work better against cancer, while others hamper cancers ability to fight off our immune system.

Immunotherapies has been approved to treat people with many types of cancer. With new indications being approved every month. Side effects from immunotherapy are quite different than chemotherapy, and the severity is much less. Some patients can continue with immunotherapies for months to years.
